Reports & Dashboards module Available in the base edition

Build reports instead of requesting them

Fidar’s report and dashboard builder lets managers and analysts turn any list into a pivot, chart or dashboard without writing queries or waiting for IT — with exactly the permissions they already have in the system.

Problem and solution

Why reports always arrive late

In many companies every new report means a ticket to IT or a spreadsheet someone has to update by hand each week. By the time the report arrives, the decision has already been made.

Problem

Every new report is a project

Adding a single column to the sales report means waiting for a developer.

In Fidar

A no-code builder: you pick the data source, fields, filters, grouping and calculated columns, and save the report for yourself or the team.

Problem

Departments’ numbers don’t match

Sales reports one figure and finance another, because each pulls from its own file.

In Fidar

All reports read from one database and shared definitions, and every number drills down to the individual document.

Problem

The management dashboard is static

It was built once and no longer answers today’s questions.

In Fidar

A drag-and-drop builder with KPI, trend, funnel, target-gauge and table widgets; each role has an editable default dashboard.

Problem

Reports bypass permissions

A spreadsheet passed around shows margins to people who shouldn’t see them.

In Fidar

Reports enforce the system’s access rules: if you can’t see a document, you won’t see its numbers in any total or chart.

Where to start: your first three dashboards

Most companies start with three dashboards: a CEO view with four to six KPIs, a sales-manager view with pipeline and team performance, and an operational view for each rep with today’s work. More than that rarely gets used in the first month.

Write down a definition for each KPI: does “sales” mean invoiced or confirmed orders? Including tax or not? Fidar’s report builder stores the formula, but agreeing the definition is management’s job.

Prefer conditional alerts to long reports. A manager who won’t scan a hundred-row table every day will react to “today’s sales are 20% below average”.

Integration

One reporting engine for every module

No Fidar module ships its own reporting engine. They all use one shared reporting layer, so the fields of any module you switch on are instantly available in the builder and can sit next to data from other modules.

For the overall approach, see Reporting & BI.

Reports

Examples ready from day one

Each module comes with default reports and dashboards you can use as-is or copy and customise.

Access

Reports follow permissions

The biggest risk in reporting is data leakage. In Fidar every report and dashboard runs with the viewer’s permissions — not its author’s.

Report builder FAQ

Do I need to know SQL to build reports?

No. The builder is fully visual: you choose the data source, fields, filters and grouping from lists, and write simple formulas such as a sum or ratio for calculated columns.

Can the builder use data from every module?

From every module active in your organisation, within the user’s permissions. Modules that aren’t active or that the user can’t access don’t appear as data sources.

Do reports work with the Jalali calendar?

Yes. Grouping by day, week, month, quarter and fiscal year works in both calendars, and the same report shows Gregorian dates to English-speaking users.

Can I send a report to the CEO automatically?

Yes. Any report or dashboard can be emailed as PDF or Excel to one or more people on a schedule — say every Saturday at 8 am.

What’s the difference between a report and a dashboard?

A report is a single table or chart with a defined query. A dashboard is a page that shows several reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) side by side with a shared date filter.

Won’t reports slow down as data grows?

Heavy reports run on a separate analytical data layer in the background, and every query has time and row limits so the main system stays fast.
