Problem and solution

Tasks that disappear in chat groups

“Call Mr Rezaei tomorrow” gets posted in a group chat, sinks under a dozen other messages and nobody follows up. Activities that aren’t attached to a business record can’t be reported on or tracked.

Problem

Reminders are personal and scattered

Every rep keeps notes in their phone’s calendar, and the manager has no idea which calls are due today.

In Fidar

Each activity is logged in Fidar with type, time, owner and related record; reminders reach the person and the manager sees everything in the team view.

Problem

Dates don’t match the working calendar

Imported tools only know the Gregorian calendar and local holidays, so meetings land on days off.

In Fidar

Jalali and Gregorian calendars with public holidays come from the platform core, and every user chooses the calendar they see.

Problem

Nobody knows what is overdue

Missed tasks silently drop off the list and only surface when a customer complains.

In Fidar

Overdue activities carry a gold warning label and icon, appear on each user’s dashboard and are counted in the manager’s reports.

Problem

Interaction history isn’t searchable

Finding out when someone last spoke to a customer means asking three colleagues.

In Fidar

Every completed activity stays on the customer timeline with its outcome and notes, ready to filter and report on.

  • Bulk activitiesCreate one activity across many selected records at once.
  • Fully reportableEvery activity is data: countable, filterable and chartable.

How to standardise activities

Start with four activity types: call, meeting, email and to-do. Add new types only when you genuinely need them separated in reports — for example “site visit” for a team that analyses travel cost separately.

Create templates for repeat processes. If every demo must be followed by a quote within two days and a follow-up a week later, define that sequence once so marking “demo done” schedules the rest automatically.

Record the outcome of each activity, not just completion. A call that went unanswered is not the same as one that booked a meeting, and outcome reports only mean something when that difference is captured.

Tune reminders per activity type: fifteen minutes before a meeting, the morning of the day for a follow-up call. Too many reminders get ignored; too few lead to forgotten tasks.

Reports

Ready-made activity reports

Managers can see how much the team is in touch with customers — and with what result — without asking anyone.

Access

Access in activities

Activities follow the access rules of their parent record: if you can’t see a deal, you can’t see its activities. Private meetings show up to colleagues only as “busy”.

Activities & Calendar FAQ

Is the calendar Jalali or Gregorian?

Both. Dates are stored in a standard format and each user picks the calendar they see. Iranian public holidays are marked on the Jalali calendar.

Do reminders arrive by email or on my phone?

Reminders are sent as in-app notifications and email. Because Fidar works fully in a mobile browser, notifications are visible on phones too.

Are activities only for CRM?

No. Activities are a shared platform capability and work on any record that supports them — from sales deals to purchase orders and support tickets.

How does a manager see the team’s work?

Through the team calendar and ready-made activity reports. Based on the org chart, managers see their reports’ activities without access to other departments.

Can I define new activity types?

Yes. Activity types with name, icon, default duration and automatic next activity are defined in settings — for example “site visit” or “send sample”.

Does it sync with other calendars?

Syncing with external calendars is part of our integration plan and its status is published on the roadmap. Today the Fidar calendar is the team’s source of truth for business activities.
