Problem and solution

Why sales teams need a real CRM

In most companies sales information is scattered across spreadsheets, reps’ personal notebooks and chat groups. Sales managers never get a clear picture of the pipeline, and when a rep leaves, the customer history leaves with them.

Problem

Leads get lost

Inbound calls, website forms and trade-show business cards each land somewhere different, and some are never followed up.

In Fidar

Every lead is captured with its source in a single list and assigned automatically or manually to the right rep; unowned leads are impossible to miss.

Problem

Follow-up depends on memory

“We said we’d call next week” isn’t recorded anywhere, and the deal goes cold.

In Fidar

Each deal carries a scheduled next activity. Deals with nothing planned are flagged with a gold warning label.

Problem

The sales manager can’t see the pipeline

The weekly report is stitched together from reps’ spreadsheets by hand and is always days out of date.

In Fidar

A live kanban pipeline, weighted value per stage and next month’s revenue forecast with zero manual work — plus an automatic report every Saturday morning.

Problem

Customer history walks out the door

When a rep moves on, the negotiation history stays on their personal phone and messaging apps.

In Fidar

All notes, calls and files live on the customer record and transfer in full to the next owner.

Rolling out CRM in practice: the first three weeks

Spend week one on data, not settings. Collect customers and open leads from reps’ spreadsheets, load them through the import wizard and merge duplicates on the spot. A CRM that starts with dirty data loses the team’s trust on day one.

In week two, build the pipeline. Most teams work better with four or five stages than ten; write a clear exit criterion for each, such as “quote sent and receipt confirmed by the customer”. Set conservative default probabilities and correct them after three months of real data.

Week three is about habits: one simple rule — no deal without a future activity — and a short weekly meeting held on the kanban view only. When the sales manager reads reports from the CRM instead of spreadsheets, the team keeps the data current.

Integration

In sync with every other Fidar module

Fidar CRM isn’t a standalone tool that gets “integrated” with accounting later. Contacts, activities and permissions are shared from day one, and every module you switch on connects to the same deals with no data migration.

This is the same chain shown on the home page as the document chain: from lead to bank reconciliation.

Reports

Ready-made CRM reports and dashboards

These reports work from day one. With the no-code report builder you can adapt any of them, pin them to a dashboard or schedule them for automatic delivery.

Management dashboards and report builder
  • Stage-by-stage pipeline

Number and value of deals per stage and the conversion rate to the next one.
  • Conversion by source

Which channel — website, trade show, referral — brings the best leads.
  • Rep performance

Open and won deals, completed activities and average time to close.
  • Weighted revenue forecast

Deal value times stage probability, by month.
  • Stale deals

  • Lost-deal analysis

Why you lose: price, competitor, timing or fit.

Access

Fine-grained access in CRM

Reps see only their own and their team’s deals, branch managers see the whole branch, and discounts above a set limit can’t be saved without manager approval — all with the platform’s six access layers.

Frequently asked questions about Fidar CRM

What is CRM software and what is it for?

CRM — customer relationship management — software keeps every interaction with prospects and customers in one place: from the first call and lead to the quote, negotiation and contract. The goal is that no opportunity goes without follow-up and the sales manager knows where next month’s revenue will come from. See our guide CRM for small and mid-sized businesses.

Can I import existing contacts and customers from Excel?

Yes. Upload an Excel or CSV file; Fidar maps the columns to fields, normalises phone numbers and shows likely duplicates before saving so you can decide whether to merge them.

Can I change the pipeline stages?

Yes. Each sales team can have its own pipeline with its own stages, win probabilities and required fields per stage — for example a project-sales pipeline separate from repeat sales.

Is Fidar CRM integrated with accounting and invoicing?

The sales and accounting modules are on the roadmap. Because contacts and deals already live on the shared core, quotations and invoices will be created directly from these deals once those modules ship — no data transfer needed.

Can reps see only their own customers?

If you want them to. Record rules define which records each role can see: only their own, their team’s, their branch’s or everything. Sensitive fields such as margin can be hidden or made read-only per role.

Does Fidar CRM work on mobile?

Fidar is web-based and fully responsive, so it works completely in a mobile browser. Reps can add a note, change the stage or schedule the next activity right after a meeting.
