One address book for the whole company

Fidar Contacts records every person and company exactly once and shares that record with CRM, sales, purchasing, accounting and support. Phone numbers are normalised, duplicates are caught before they are saved and every account’s history lives in one place.

Problem and solution

When every department keeps its own customer list

Sales lives in spreadsheets, finance in the accounting package and support on reps’ phones. Each has its own copy of “the same customer”, and none is complete — leading to duplicate calls, invoices sent to old addresses and reports that never add up.

Problem

One customer, five records

“Negin Industries”, “Negin Co.” and “Negin Isfahan” sit in three different lists, and nobody knows which balance is right.

In Fidar

While you type, Fidar shows similar records by mobile, email, national ID and company name; merging two records combines all their documents and history.

Problem

Contact details are out of date

The sales rep has the buyer’s new number, but finance keeps calling the old one.

In Fidar

Any change to a contact is visible instantly in every module, and each field’s change history — with user and timestamp — sits on the record.

Problem

People aren’t linked to companies

You don’t know who decides, who signs or who should receive the invoice at the customer.

In Fidar

Each company lists its people with titles and roles; separate billing and shipping addresses are defined, and every document is linked to the right person.

Problem

Lists can’t be filtered

Finding “active manufacturing customers in Isfahan” means comparing several files by hand.

In Fidar

Colour tags, categories, combined filters and saved favourites; any list becomes an Excel export or a pivot report in one click.

A clean address book, step by step

Before importing, agree on one column template: company, person, title, mobile, landline, email, city and tag. Convert each department’s file to that template so the import wizard maps columns correctly.

Mobile numbers are the best duplicate key in Iran’s market, because company names are written in many ways. Fidar converts Persian digits and normalises formats automatically, but entering numbers consistently from the start helps.

Keep tags few and rule-based: industry, region and relationship type are usually enough. Dozens of ad-hoc tags make filters useless. Make one person responsible for contact data quality and have them review the incomplete-records report monthly.

Integration

The single source of accounts for every module

In Fidar’s architecture the “account” has exactly one owner: the Contacts module. Every other module only references it, so a customer you create in CRM today is the same customer on invoices, cheques and support tickets tomorrow — no data transfer involved.

Financial documents snapshot values such as address and name at the moment they are issued, so changing a customer’s address later never rewrites past invoices.

Reports

Ready-made contact reports

These reports run on live contact data, and the report builder lets you add any column, filter or chart you need.

Management dashboards and report builder

  • Segments by tag

Size of each market segment and how it grows over time.
  • Contact ownership

Active and dormant customers per rep.
  • Data quality

  • Contacts without touchpoints

Customers with no activity logged for a set period.
  • Customer base growth

New contacts per month and by acquisition source.

Access

Who sees which contacts

A shared address book doesn’t mean everyone sees everything. A customer CEO’s private number or a supplier’s IBAN is visible only to specific roles, and contacts with financial documents can’t be deleted.

Contacts module FAQ

Is Contacts sold separately?

No. Contacts is part of Fidar’s free core and is active in every subscription, because every other module relies on it.

How do you prevent duplicate customers?

On entry or Excel import, Fidar compares mobile, email, national ID and company name with existing records and shows matches before saving. If duplicates already exist, merging moves all documents and history to the surviving record.

Are customers and suppliers in the same list?

Yes. One account can be both a customer and a supplier; roles are set on the same record and reports are separated by role.

Can I add fields specific to my business?

Yes. Custom fields with type, English and Persian labels, default value and validation are defined in settings and are available in forms, lists, filters and reports.

How is sensitive data such as national IDs protected?

Field security hides those values or makes them read-only for unauthorised roles, and masks them in exports and reports too. Highly sensitive data is encrypted in the database. See security and access.

How do I move contacts from my current software?

Export to Excel or CSV from your current system and upload it to the import wizard. Columns are mapped, row errors are shown and you get a preview before the final import.
